The Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) gave an awareness creation on July 17/2017 on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for Ethiopian Revenue and Custom Authority management team. The awareness creation workshop program held in the hall of Ethiopian Revenue and Custom Authority (ERCA) and 49 participants attended.

On the event Director General of the Board, Ato Gashe Yemane explained the ways of implementing IFRS with the collaboration of the Ethiopian Revenue and Custom Authority. The Director General briefed explained the impact of IFRS implementation roadmap on tax collecting system. He said that, the Ethiopian Revenue and Custom Authority should work in close collaboration with the board to tackle challenges and to succeed the mission and vision of the board. 

Accordingly the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority are on the way to sign memorandum of understanding.

Legal enforcement manager, Ato Ashenafi Gebeyehu for his part gave brief explanation on proclamation no 847/2014 and the council of ministers regulation no 332/2015. Questions raised on the event and got response from the presenter and the program ended at 6;30 pm
